Children’s safety and wellbeing are at the heart of JadePlay.
JadePlay is committed to creating a safe, respectful and inclusive environment where children feel listened to, supported and able to participate with confidence.
All safeguarding concerns are taken seriously. JadePlay recognises that safeguarding is the responsibility of every adult involved in delivering or supporting its activities.
JadePlay aims to provide activities in environments where children are appropriately supervised, treated with respect and supported to participate safely.
Facilitators are expected to maintain appropriate professional boundaries, remain alert to signs that a child may need support, listen appropriately if a child raises a concern, and follow the agreed safeguarding and reporting procedures for the setting.
When JadePlay works with a school or partner organisation, safeguarding and emergency arrangements will be agreed with the host setting before delivery begins.
If a child shares a concern, or if an adult becomes concerned about a child’s safety or wellbeing, the concern will be taken seriously, listened to appropriately, recorded and reported in line with the relevant safeguarding procedures.
Children will never be promised secrecy where information may need to be shared to help keep them or another child safe.
JadePlay is continuing to develop its full Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy and supporting procedures as the programme prepares for delivery.
Safeguarding arrangements will be reviewed as JadePlay develops and will take account of the requirements of individual schools, venues and delivery partners.
