Sessions are child-led and designed to be adaptable to different settings and groups. JadePlay can work with partners to consider the children attending, the environment, safeguarding arrangements and the aims of the programme when planning delivery.
JadePlay can explore delivery opportunities with schools, community organisations, childcare settings, hotels and other organisations working with children and families.
Depending on the setting, this could include regular after-school sessions, a short programme of sessions, holiday or community activities, or a JadePlay experience developed in partnership with the host organisation.
The aim is to create an arrangement that works for the children, families and partner setting while protecting the core JadePlay approach.
JadePlay brings a child-led approach that uses drama, role-play, discussion and creative activities to help children explore real-life situations and develop social and emotional skills.
Sessions are designed to encourage children to contribute ideas, listen to different perspectives, support one another and gradually take greater ownership of their experience.
JadePlay also values communication with delivery partners so that sessions can respond appropriately to the children, the setting and any relevant needs or considerations.
Successful JadePlay sessions depend on clear communication and shared planning with the host organisation.
Before delivery begins, JadePlay and the partner would agree the practical arrangements for the setting, including the space being used, expected participant numbers, safeguarding and emergency procedures, parent or carer communication, and any relevant needs of the children attending.
