JadePlay was created from a belief that drama, play and creativity can give children a powerful way to find their voice, understand themselves and connect with others.
Through child-led activities, role-play and real-life scenarios, JadePlay creates opportunities for children to build confidence, explore emotions and relationships, consider different choices and learn from one another in a safe and inclusive environment.
As a child, I was often shy and found it difficult to express myself in groups, particularly when conversations felt personal. Drama and role-play gave me another way to communicate. Through characters, imagination and play, I found the confidence to express myself and find my voice.
Through my years of working with children, I have seen how powerful that same opportunity can be for them. Children who may initially be quiet or unsure can begin to contribute, explore ideas, communicate with others and grow in confidence when they are given the right environment.
These experiences helped inspire JadePlay — a space where children can explore real-life situations through creativity and play, learn from and support one another, and feel that their individual voice and contribution matter.
At JadePlay, we believe in the power of role-play, creativity and inclusion to inspire and empower children. Through interactive storytelling and child-led experiences, we create a safe space for meaningful discussions about real-life choices, helping children build confidence, empathy and decision-making skills.
Our mission is to nurture social and emotional growth while helping to bridge the gap between advantaged and disadvantaged communities.
JadePlay is child-led. The facilitator's role is to guide, encourage and create opportunities rather than simply give children the answers.
Children are encouraged to explore different perspectives, make choices, consider outcomes and reflect together. Mixed-age participation gives children opportunities to learn from, support and guide one another.
Sometimes a child will be learning. Sometimes they will be leading. Both are valuable.
